You just need one hand and is an incredibly convenient way to focus on something. I was mildly interested when we got a villain who eats using chopsticks. It just took me five more minutes to realise that he is the template Kollywood villain, just armed with a chopstick. The narrative goes somewhat like this — random scenes that make Vikram look good, punch dialogues, a fight sequence and repeat. Insert cliches sequences with Tamannaah Bhatia at unwarranted junctures and throw in a few songs as well and you have the screenplay. Or we can call it a recipe for disaster. The climax is the only surprise the film throws at you.

The artificiality caused due to the mechanisation of the rendition takes away the wow factor of the crispy melody that the song aims to be. The reason is primarily because of the fact that the tune is simple. There is a very small but a lovely portion of flute during the interludes. Good attempt overall! Thaman tries out fresh type of arrangements that is not part of his usual style and pulls it off really well.
With just one kuthu song and four lilting melodies, Sketch surprises you as a soundtrack for a commercial film that sounds polished and gentle. Thaman has come up with some repeat-worthy tracks that manage to hold your attention. Right choice of singers, likable lyrics, neat effort overall. Simple tune, sweet lyrics and the wonderful vocals of Vikram to go along with it. Thaman constructs a gentle melody that sounds good even after a long time on the showcase. A catchy and foot-tapping tune from the composer, dashed down by the vocals of Vijay Chander. Especially, those trumpets in the middle. Our PICK.
